Book | Maripol

Known as the stylist who created the white wedding look for Madonna, Maripol helped set the stage for the downtown style of New York in the 1980s. Originally from France, this photographer/designer relocated to the Big Apple in the late Seventies and became art director at the famous Fiorucci store. Here she sold her fluorescent lucite and rubber jewelry that was worn by the likes of Debbie Harry and Grace Jones. Maripol’s impact on the creative scene is captured in the recent publication, Maripol: Little Red Riding Hood which features a collection of polaroids and photographs from this iconic time period.
