Even after 26 years, New Designers is still one of the best events to find unusual and exciting graduate design. Offering awards for best designs, innovation, idea and designer etc the exhibition represents the starting place for many student hopefuls, making competition fierce.

Wandering around, the overwhelming trends harked back to Scandinavian simplicity with a strong focus on light woods and practical engineering, the look for SS12 no doubt. In the pattern and texture arena there was a mix of sweet pastel graphics and illustrated prints in contrast to sculptural creations such as Shu Aoki ‘s Rokkaku Side Table. A fine incite into the future of the interior design industry.
