Pattern Report | Aztec Influence (part 1)

It’s no secret that different cultural┬áregions and societies have been influencing the tribal trend in print, pattern, and the fashion world. It is still going strong from last season into this and on to next season, and I can’t say that I am unhappy about it!! I love a tribal print. Cultural motifs are such a great source of inspiration for designers, that it’s easy to see why it has lasted. The Aztec Indians from Central Mexico were a culture known for creativity in art, music, poetry, and tattoos. This collection of Aztec inspired prints is all from retailer TopShop. This is ‘part 1′ in a three part pattern report post on the aztec influence. There are so many wonderful prints in this genre that I just couldn’t narrow it down! So stayed tuned and come back for more.
