Batik style dyeing has its roots in cultures all over the world. The country most known for their batiks is Indonesia, specifically the island of Java. We see designers trying to emulate the ancient technique to give a spin on the traditional tie dye. Zero + Maria Cornejo achieve the look by layering a “blurry moss motif and a graphic black print.” The effect is convincing.
