Runway | AW14 Mens Milan Print Trends

MSGM | Marni | Marc Jacobs | MSGM

Varying slightly from the menswear collections shown in London, Milan brings us sophisticated florals used predominately on trousers, artistic portraits with a collage aesthetic, optical geometrics mixed with bold graphic forms, as well as clever updates to the traditional plaid. Iceberg’s digitally warped plaid interpretation brings a youthful edge to this classic pattern while MSGM overlays a large scale camo for a fresh look. A few scenic prints made an appearance on the runways of Dolce & Gabbana and Roberto Cavalli, while word-based statements left their mark at Calvin Klein and MSGM. Up next, we’ll capture the print trends seen in Paris and New York.
