For London’s AW14 women’s print stories, we find ourselves walking down memory lane as many of the directions follow in the footsteps of the men’s collections. Arts & Crafts influenced botanicals hint at the work of William Morris while lines make a powerful statement in optical and updated interpretations. We love Issa’s collage prints which bring a refreshing and organic take on geometrics. Meanwhile, designers clash styles and colors with a series of vivid and opposing pairings from delicate florals overlaid on optical geometrics to animal prints sliced with retro flower motifs. But, if that’s not enough, turn to the tessellated tile work of Morocco for inspiration as geometric prints gain mathematic precision.
