SP13 | Carven

Carven – Spring ’13

The toile print that Carven used in this collection stood out against the mostly neutral and solid colored pieces. Toile, the full name being “Toile de Jouy,” actually originated in Ireland in the 18th century, not France, which many generally think. The prints usually show a pastoral scene fit for afternoon tea. I can’t see my Grandma in these pieces… peekaboo cut-outs give these lovely looks an edge.
